Description
MT-2 is a cyclic lactam synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. Supplied as a single sealed vial at 10mg nominal content, lyophilised and stored at −20°C until dispatch.
Material is synthesised by solid-phase methods, lyophilised under vacuum and sealed before storage at −20°C in our UK facility. Each lot is assayed by HPLC for purity and by mass spectrometry for identity, and released only at 99% purity or above. The certificate of analysis matching the lot number on your vial is available on request.
Supplied dry so that diluent, concentration and study design remain entirely with the researcher. We provide no dosing or administration guidance.

Handling and reconstitution
- Allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature before opening to reduce condensation on the lyophilised cake.
- Reconstitute with a diluent appropriate to your protocol, adding it slowly against the vial wall rather than directly onto the powder.
- Swirl gently until dissolved — do not shake, as agitation can shear peptide chains.
- Label the reconstituted vial with compound, concentration, lot number and date, then refrigerate and use within the window your protocol specifies.
- Concentrations, volumes and study design remain the responsibility of the researcher; we supply material dry and provide no dosing guidance.
Our full reconstitution and storage guide covers diluent choice, aliquoting and freeze-thaw in more detail.
