Sourcing research peptides in the UK has become considerably easier over the last few years, and considerably harder to do well. The listings look alike, the purity claims are near identical, and the differences that actually affect your results sit in details most product pages never mention. This checklist is what we would ask a supplier before placing a first order.
1. Lot traceability
Can the supplier give you a certificate of analysis tied to the lot number printed on your vial — not a generic example document for the product line? If the answer involves a delay or a sample certificate, you cannot tie a result back to a batch, and a strange dataset months later becomes unexplainable.
2. Cold chain that survives the journey
Sealed lyophilised material tolerates short ambient excursions far better than solution does, but a vial that spends four warm days in a depot has had an experience nobody documented. Ask how orders are packed, which service is used, and what happens when a delivery is delayed. Insulated packaging with a cold pack on a tracked service is the baseline we work to.
3. Labelling you can work from
A usable label states compound, nominal peptide content, lot number and storage condition. Anything less means transcribing details from an invoice into your notebook, which is where transcription errors enter a study.
4. Import and customs
